Core Tune Up: This class will strengthen the midsection of your body from the inside. The exercises will penetrate weak muscle tissue, awaken sluggish organs, stretch scar tissue and cultivate vibrancy throughout your nervous system.

Shoulder Tune Up: This class will break through weakness and congestion in your shoulderscaused by unhealthy habits of our modern lifestyles. Unlock the mobility of your shoulders and arms and reconnect to the natural dexterity buried within.

Hips Tune Up: This class will consist of deep hip and psoas exercises to help you connect to the ease and freedom that exists within. The exercises mobilize the hips from every conceivable angle to penetrate gridlock connective tissue, awaken underused or overused muscles and release tension through your whole body.

Breath In, Roll Out: Proper breathing provides a fast track towards unwinding stress. Muscular tension, postural imbalances and day-to-day anxiety all impede the breath's flow. Learn how to breathe correctly with sedating exercises from yoga, body therapy, meditation and massage. Come learn the age defying secrets of Yoga Nidra or "yogic sleep" and master the art of "Blissing Out."

Instructor: Chris Miyachi, RYT Yoga Tune Up Chris has been practicing many styles of yoga for thirty years. In 2006 she completed a 500 hour Forrest Teacher Training Foundation course and in 2007, completed the Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher Training (75 hours). She has assisted Ana Forrest at weekend workshops, teacher training intensives and the Yoga Journal Conference in Boston. In addition, she completed an apprenticeship at Back Bay Yoga in Boston with Lynne Begier where she taught for a summer.

One constant in Chris’ yoga practice has been an Iyengar Yoga focus. She is currently enrolled in teacher training in the Iyengar system with Patricia Walden and studies weekly with Iyengar teachers Patricia Walden, Peentz Dubble and Karen Wenc.

Chris is also a certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer and is certified in Yoga Tune Up. Yoga Tune Up takes exercises from many movement systems to help students gain the strength, mobility and mindfulness to do classic yoga poses.
