DFD is a pose central to yoga practice yet it can be difficult and even cause pain and injury if done incorrectly. In this Yoga Tune Up class we will draw upon physical therapy and anatomy to build the strength, flexibility, and body knowledge for a solid pose. DFD involves the entire body so we will start with the shoulders musculature by rolling out this area with the Yoga Tune Up therapy balls. We'll continue with poses for the core and spinal and open the hips and legs. Your final downward facing dog will be a brand new pose that will help build the body strength for a lifetime.
This workshop is excellent for beginners new to yoga. Intermediate and advance participants will get extra exercises to work into balancing handstand.
