Through mindfulness meditation practice, we open to our current experience just as it is, allowing the mind to calm and to relax. Through the practice of Yoga in the Yin style, we are afforded the opportunity to remain in contemplative stillness, and thus to notice our current experience, while opening and clearing organ-specific energy lines, within the subtle body, of stagnant chi and toxins. Free-flowing chi promotes fluidity of movement, circulation, flexibility, and ease of well-being, on every level-physical , emotional, mental and spiritual.
During this workshop, we will particularly address working with the element of Fire, as we prepare for the season of summer, opening and balancing the Heart, the seat of all emotions, the center of enlightenment.
We will engage with asana in both the Yin and Yang styles, while exploring conscious conception and mindful awareness of Right Intention as means towards deepening our practice, both on and off the mat, attending to 'playing our edges' with ease.
