Group classes offer a framework and understanding to the practice of Yoga, mostly in respects to asana "postures" and pranayama "breathing techniques". They can offer a supportive community of like---minded individuals and a place to feel inspired. However, in many ways group class is not the most ideal form of practice. This can be an effective way to begin, but by duplicating a teacher's instruction we are often duplicating a teacher's practice. The Yoga you do for YOU is designed to serve you without struggle or need for attainment. It is practiced for the sheer enjoyment of body, breath and mind.
When it comes to practicing Yoga at home many students get caught up in what postures to do, how long to practice and if they are doing something "right". This workshop will demystify the requirements of home practice, introduce basic technical principles to help you maximize your time and offer you what it feels like to do a short self---practice. You will leave with a renewed understanding of what it means to practice Yoga on your own, in a way that is right for YOU. This master class is suitable for all levels of practice.
